Behind the lens

I'm a photographer drawn to the character of places: the way light falls across stone, the hush inside a courtyard, the pattern that repeats until it becomes a kind of prayer. I follow the slow rhythm of streets and gardens and the thresholds between them.

I work patiently and mostly on foot, waiting for the moment when light, movement, and stillness briefly align, the way the ezan settles a crowded square, or dusk quiets a mountain valley. Each collection is less a record of a place than an invitation to sit inside it and pay attention.

For me, to photograph is a small practice of gratitude: to notice the light we are given, and to be thankful for it.
